PPF YEAR OF THE DRAGON

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to Paint Party Friday  week 47. Thanks to Eva and Christin artists come together every Friday to show the art they are creating. Be sure to stop by and see the amazing artists that join in.
For me I have had a very stressful and strange week, I will tell you more in another post. Because of my week the painting I am working on is not show able AT ALL. LOL so because it is the year of the Dragon and I collect dragons, (including Mike, my husband, who has a three headed dragon tattooed on his entire back) I thought I would share with you a piece I created in 1996. It is a 5 foot beaded Dragon. The technique is Huichol beading. I make my own bees wax recipe with pine sap and adhere one bead at a time with the hole side facing up. There are millions of size 11/o seed beads in the Dragon set on cotton fabric.
The photos are difficult for me to get because of the glass for the framing but I think you get the idea. Hope you enjoy this. Ohh the one question I get is how long did this take. I created this in the hot sunny Arizona desert in 1996 and it took about a week to finish.

Oh my patience-ness... Nicole, that is awesome! But holy cow, you must have had an extremely steady hand and used many toothpicks to proposition those tiny seedies!

Sending you strength and love with whatever you found out at the Dr. We're all here to support you through whatever you are going through and help you heal.

{Hugs!}
