HAPPY All HALLOWS EVE

Hi Everyone!

If you know me at all you know this IS my most favorite day of the year. It has been since I was a little girl. Something about dressing up and scary things.
However, you celebrate, here is a Halloween wish that you get scared, have fun, gather wonder and see beyond.

This is definitely me!!!

SKULLS N CAPS LOVE THIS

Hi Everyone!

I am getting ready to leave for my mom's and thank you to all the wonderful emails. I am trying to get back to each one of you before I leave.
One of the emails I received this morning was from a friend of mine named Donna Zattau. She lives here in Florence. She is a wonderful person as well as a terrific designer. This skull pattern I created a while back and Donna fell for it. She has beaded it several times using it in different applications. I think this is my favorite. Thank you Donna for taking my skull pattern and creating something beautiful with it. Ohhh and useful too.
So cleaver. Flap open.

Flap closed. I love this!!!

You can get just the skull pattern not Donna's design in my Beadwright Etsy Store

SUSAN SHATREAU-JANISKY‏ BEAD ART

Hi Everyone,

It is Friday and my week flew by. I wanted to post about Susan Shatreau-Janisky. She is an amazing woman and a beautiful bead artist. Her beading is an extension of her heritage, where beading all began in Canada and the US. It saddens me that a lot of  beaders don't know the history of our craft. Fortunate for us we can still go to Powwow and fur rendezvous to see the original flatwork technique and style. Having a Native American background myself it is dear to my heart that we don't loose sight of where this industry all began.
When I met Susan I was delighted with her personality, her wit, and her beauty. There is a genteelness to her spirit that is inviting. A lady I would like to spend some time with.
I would like to introduce to you
Susan Shatreau-Janisky
