Paint Party Friday 6/29

Hi Everyone!

I have missed a few weeks due to traveling. Not for fun, rather taking hubby to doctors apts.  I have a few pieces to show this week and I am happy with both of them. First a big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday and to all the artists who show up to show off their art.

I had this leather piece made up for a few weeks and finally finished it up yesterday. This was so much fun to make and there is another one ready to decorate on my art table.

Today I got up at 4AM. I really do love early morning days. I have accomplished a lot including this piece. It was nice to get into the paints.
Wishing everyone a great weekend.

PPF June 15

Hi Everyone!
My week flew by and so not much art done at all. I did make this cigar box for my Son for Father's Day. The box is beautifully constructed with very nice wood, however I painted it and then decorated it.  I am so hoping he likes it.
So what did you do this week? I really want to know.

Bead Sets

Hi Everyone!

Getting home from VA. had made me very busy. Getting a yard sale ready, and adding items to my beadwright.com is all time consuming. It is getting done though. Lots of new bead sets and here are just a few.  Come see all the new items at www.beadwright.com

I am home and it's Paint Party Friday

Hi Everyone!
I have been home a week or so from my trip to VA. I had the best time with my daughter and her husband. We spent two days visiting DC. It was fabulous! Seeing the White House for the first time is quite humbling. What I really loved is that most everything there was free. The zoo, museums, art galleries and much more. Eating out was not that expensive either. DC is exciting with lots of energy. VA is a busy place too. I did like that EVERYTHING is so convenient. I could have stayed longer but will definitely go back before this tour of duty is over for them.  Not much art work done. I am a private artist. Meaning I don't like people watching me create. So while in the SF airport I began to draw. I was sitting off by myself and before I knew it 3 people were watching me and asking me questions. Uuhhh did I invite you into my space? They were nice but it is like interrupting someone that is reading a book. LOL  So to say the least this is not my
best but it is what I have this week.
Big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday

This is a sculpted leather woman in progress. I will get her finished this week. She is a birthday gift for my neighbor.

We were so fortunate to go to the Renwick art gallery in DC. The entire gallery featured artists from and about Burning Man. We were in awe of the art.
It was quite dark so photos are not as good as they could be.
This was overhead as we walked up the stairs
As you walk in she greeted you. She is all wire with an amazing steal armature.

Last but not least, a person that is into the macabre as I am could not pass up seeing the steps from the movie "The Exorcist" Ya know the steps that Father Karras fell down.
That's it for now. I will post more photos later on.

Hi Everyone!

I am home from my trip to VA and DC. What a wonderful part of our US country. I had a wonderful time with my daughter and SIL and was able to help them with the move they made from NC to VA. Seeing the White House for the first time stirs up powerful emotions.  DC is a busy and fun place to be. We road the metro, first time for all of us, went to the Renwick art gallery, and the Zoo. Embassy row was pretty amazing as well. I can't wait to go back.
