Friday PPF

 Greetings!

What a down right shit week it has been for America. However, today I turned on Netflix, and watched/listen to movies all day. Yes, I signed back up for Netflix. My daughter has been telling me of all the good movies she has been watching and those movies are not free on Prime. With the movies in the background I really caught up on some things and then decided I wanted to watercolor.
Ya know, my favorite medium...NOT!
I just wanted to do an abstracty thing with color.
Most of you know that my grandmother, (Nan) was quite a known artist and I have her art books and her college art diary. One of the booklets I have is,
"How to Appreciate Art/Abstraction in Art.
The text is by Robert Goldwater and it was published in New York in 1953. I have grown quite fond of this little book.

I started this acrylic this morning.
Hopefully I will get is finished soon

and finished with the water color this afternoon.
Like I said just playing around.

I am linking up with Eva and Kristen
for Paint Party Friday

  5. Lovely! Much like life, the work to me has an aura that feels ominous and beautiful at the same time.

  11. That is a Very impressive and moody acrylic. Watercolor? For not liking the medium, it’s very nice. WC is Not my favorite medium either, but every so often I also get the watercolor urge.

  12. For not being your favorite that´s truly very, VERY great.

  13. Ah, Netflix! It took us a while to decide to try it, but once we did we kept it.

I like the collage on the cover of the book. Watercolor is hard, for me anyway... I can never keep the colors from bleeding and getting muddy-looking.

  15. Your Acrylic and your watercolor are both lovely. Have you watched the BRIDGERTONS on Netflix yet? The first episode is not a grabber but thankfully my sister told me to mover forward and it was a wonderful 8 episode series.
