vintage jewelry design
Classics to collect to wear
by Caroline Cox
ISBN 978-1-60059-7145

There are not enough words, much less beautiful adjectives, to describe the emotion of Vintage Jewelry Design. Caroline Cox has captured the essence of the decades through historical majesty.
If you are a passionate designer you will want, NO, you should have this book in your library. Gerada Flockinger, one of the most influential women in jewelry design, writes the forward. She captivates you with the first sentence then carries you to an enchanting place of art.
The historical aspect, bridging 100 years, of jewelry and design travels the road of how we have advanced and emerged to the present day point of view. Vintage Jewelry Design is not only a catalog of jewelry, rather, an in depth story of a culture that spans the world. (The culture of design) This book is so eloquently written that it will transport you to time and place.
Introduce you to key artists and even some flamboyant ladies who lived for their jewels.
Cartier, Faberge’, Tiffany & Co., Bouchern prestigious companies
brought forth signature pieces that set the standard for superior elegance.
When I view jewelry of today, I see the designs of yesteryear. Beads, gold, silver, wire, Swarovski, these are not copies, in fact, a connection with all of the artists who paved the way for us.
In the 224 pages from Divinely Decadent, to Bijoux Beatnik, to Bold and Beautiful, or Future Collectibles the power of this book with make you think, change your mind, inspire your soul, and allow you to create with new vision.

Winner will be drawn Sept. 19, 2011

I am sorry I had to put a word verification for my comments due to the unsightly spam comments against women. Please take the time to leave me a comment. I love hearing from you.
