I will draw the winner of this book tomorrow Sept 24, 2011 so leave your comments today!!!

Hi Everyone!
I am so happy to announce that I am now a book reviewer for Lark Books. When I was approached with this offer there was only one answer for me. YESSSSS!!!  The best part about all of this is that Ray Hemachandra has agreed to send me two of every book so that I can share them with you. Yes this is a give away review. I received my first box of books yesterday.
Sooo are you wondering what books were sent to me? Do you think the books may be something you are interested in???? If you bead, wirework or just love the knowledge of bead art you will want these books. Ohhh noo I am not telling you the names of all the books right off you get them one at a time. I know I am so bad...OK enough of the playing around...
I do read each book cover to cover. I want to know everything about a book and it was not difficult to do with  Sensational Bead Embroidery by
Sherry Serafini.
This eye-catching hard bound book begins with an introduction that is informative and very inviting. I was excited to read what Sherry had to say about her art.

Chapter one, Basic Materials and Tools is excellent. Sherry describes each section clearly that even the beginner knows what the material or tool is and what it is used for.

I particularly like chapter two, Stitches and Techniques, where the written word is followed with the step by step graphics in perfect unison. Practice these and you will be able to create.

From there Sherry takes us on a journey through 127 pages and 25 how-to projects that will delight the novice to the very advanced beader. Each project is precise. Each detail of the project is given from how many grams of beads you will need, the tools involved and the process to create the project.

I like the easy flow of this book. Striking photography of Sherry’s bead art appears on every page that is not invasive but inspiring. For me this brought real life to the art that Sherry is teaching in her book. Sherry is one bead artist that I don’t have the pleasure of knowing, however, when I was finished reading her book I felt like I did. That is a rare accomplishment to bring across the written page.
It was also fun to see the bead art of some of my friends in the gallery section. Again showing bead art through the excellence of the photography.
If you have had the desire to create with the bead embroidery technique then this is the book to buy. Brilliance on every page!

To win this book simply leave a comment on this post. If you facebook about it come leave a second comment and if you blog about it come tell me in a comment I will give you two extra chances.
I will draw the winner on Sept. 24

I will also add to the prize Nicole's BeadBacking as a bonus. You can't flatwork or bead embroidery without Nicole's BeadBacking

  48. Nicole,

So glad I saw you in the market today...once again, you've been my inspiration! I came home and went straight to your blogsite. It took me a long time to get around to leaving you a comment because I had to go to all the links and other sites you mentioned (which in turn lead me to more links hehehe). Back to you being inspirational for me one more time.....I started my own blogsite this afternoon! It was so easy and I really feel like such a grown up having entered into the cyber world a little further. Anyway, my blogsite is http://beachbabybaubles.blogspot.com. Also, I mentioned your contact information in my blog.

Oh yes, the book....I borrowed from a friend and it definitely is on my wish list. Way to go girl on your book review and position with Lark Books. Loved your two patterns in Bead Unique also.
