WELCOME OWOH 2011

I will keep this post on top until Feb. 17 so scroll down for new post during this time.

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my Beadwright Blog and the One World One Heart  ("OWOH") 2011 event. Yes, OWOH has become an event and this year will be the last for founder of OWOH Lisa of  A Whimsical Bohemian Thank you Lisa for five years of hard work. So what is OWOH? It is a time to introduce yourself, to invite people to come in and visit my blog. A time to get to know new people and to meet up with some old friends. In addition if you leave a comment you have a chance of winning my door prize.
This will begin on Jan 31, 2011 and end Feb 17, 2011

So come on in, stay awhile, and visit my posts to see some of my art, know my family, cry with me, laugh with me, and share this time.

My name is Nicole Campanella and I am the true and only owner of the Beadwright name and business. I will be 59 this April. EEEKKKK I have two children both grown and married and 3 grand children. I have lived with my best friend, Michael for the past 30 years. It has been an adventure for sure.

I have been surrounded by art since I was a very small child. With a renowned artist grandmother who placed a paint brush in my had at the age of 2, I was destined for this life. Bead art is another medium that has always been a part of my life. My great grandmother was a Tailor and beader and I am lucky enough to have some of her beading supplies. (Not to be used) :) LOL

I have been very fortunate that since I launched my Beadwright business in, 1986, I have been published extensively in beading, gourd, and fashion magazines. I have 4 of my own bead instructional books published, developed Nicole's BeadBacking and have taught bead, leather, and gourd art in most of the western states.
In October of 2009 I was honored to be the guest of my good friend, Charmain Pesnell, and accompany her to Japan. Charmain won the Toho competition and the grand prize was a trip to the Toho factory. How lucky am I to have had that experience?
In addition I have met some of the best artists and nicest people in the world. Some of them becoming life long friends. I am hoping to add some of you to this list.

I try to keep a positive outlook for humans and hope for a bright future for all of us.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy my blog, become a follower, and please leave a comment. You may just be the winner of my beaded gourd.

My beaded gourds are actually sewn through the gourd. This one has a special spiral made with my Curls Swirls technique. Lined with a true red color fabric this beaded gourd will look fantastic on your table.

  114. Nicole, Japan, to the Toho Factory? That is way cool! Back when I could see to bead, I made an amulet bag or two (or 50!). I miss playing with beads. I use bigger beads to ornament journals, and artwork, but that's as far as it goes. I own a few, prized, lampworks that I wear with pride. Made by some great friends. So, you keep beading and I'll keep admiring them! Your vessel is exquisite too! Tina
