Paint Party Friday 2/22

Hi Everyone!
First a big thank you to Eva and Kristen for hosting
Paint Party Friday. Also to all the artists who share their
art and inspire me every week.

So most of you know that I share my body with lupus. I do not take lupus meds but rather my own concoction of herbs, minerals, and vitamins.  Over the last 18 years it has been a trial keeping healthy. However, that last few years I have been feeling better and better with just a few minor flares. My new doctor, whom I love, ordered tons of blood work last month. (You have to know that so many doctors quit here over the last 2 years and I was without a doctor for a year. So when I found Dr. Parker and saw what a great doctor she is I was thrilled.) Back to the blood work. I had not had bloodwork done in a few years so she ran the gamut.  OMG!!! My blood work is perfect. The part that really tells about lupus DNA (DS) Antibody is an 8!!!! it goes from 1-10 one being good 10 lupus. I have never been under 10. I usually score 15 or higher, my ANA titer is in normal range and all my other lupus type blood work is good.  Confirmed by my doctor I AM IN REMISSION!!!! or quiescence, meaning
In cells, quiescence is the state of not dividing. In neurons (nerve cells), quiescence is the state of not firing. With lupus everything is firing too much, and overactive immune system so now every thing is quiet. No one knows how happy I am right now. Plus I have lost 10lbs so that is a bonus.
I wish all of you a very happy weekend.
Now for art. Only two pieces this week.
Enjoy

I'm so happy to hear this news. We have a friend that actually beat cancer using her own concoctions. Your first picture is an amazing sketch to show a happy and serene demeanor. The second somehow reminds me of Betty Boop. Must be the eyes, lol.
Much love,
Carol

Nicole, I know I am in an emotional time right now, but I want you to know that your good news brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy for you and am saying a prayer that your health will continue to improve. Keep up the good work on the diet you are following! Your art as usual is beautiful. I love how you can draw faces from different angles. Most of us do well if we can draw a straight on face.

YAY Nicole! That is GREAT! I am dealing with several autoimmune issues and I know the hoops and trials it can take on one's body! My ANA just came back good also! I am so thrilled to read you are in remission! Thank you for posting such wonderful news. You are an inspiration to others facing Lupus as well.

I did not participate in PPF last Friday. I read a comment you left and I am right handed. I use to bead with my pattern sideways as well. Have no idea why. Big happy hugs to you!!! R
