UP TO NOTHING AND NO GOOD

Hi Everyone!

Here it is June 28th and it is cold and raining. We get one nice day and then it all falls to hell in a handbag. Who ever made that saying? Any I have been taking some time to myself. Getting some cleaning done around here. I have been making new patterns and doing some wood working. I tried to visit blogs this morning but blogger just wouldn't allow me to. So please know I am trying to get to you. I have written to blogger... yeah like that will help....LOL

Here are a few patterns I do need to list them in my Beadwright Bead Coop and Beadwright Etsy but if you want them before that happens just email me.

Hi Everyone!

Since blogger changed to their new interface I noticed a lot less blogging. Myself included. I have spoken to many many bloggers who find the new look unfriendly to use. I agree. Most of the time I can't find my own information. My followers are NEVER listed so I can see what all of you are doing. What a shame blogger went to this format.  I have written to them as I know many of you have as well. It probably won't do any good but at least we tried. I am looking into different blogging programs.

Oookayyy with that said how are all of you? Hope that life is treating you well and that you are inspired.

Our weather here is wicked ugly with dark skies and more rain that anyone should have. LOL

I have been working on patterns and have listed a few new pieces. Also I have a sale on patterns in my Beadwright Etsy store so go check it out.

Hi Everyone!

It feels like a long time since I have connected with all of you.

I hope where ever you are there is sunshine and warmth.

My show was long. Three day shows are a bit too much for me any more. But we had fun and I met a two wonderful new artists. They are from Eugene, OR. and we have already made plans to meet up.

While my show was going on some of my family came to visit. My mom, brother, wife, and two kids. It was a camp out of air beds and sleeping bags. We had fun and it was nice to spend a few days with all of them. Of course it was raining but we headed up coast to the Sea Lion Caves and had a great time.

Now it is back to routine and getting ready for a class that I will be teaching soon.

BEADING CLASS JUST TOO MUCH FUN

Wow did we have fun at my beading class yesterday. Each lady was so wonderful and brought a creative spirit to the class. It is truly my honor to have spent time with these ladies from Newport. This class was on my technique of flatwork the next class is on traditional peyote. I will let you all know the date.

Hi Everyone!

It has been a very busy week and it isn't over yet. LOL
Here is a reminder about my class on Saturday, and to let any one interested, that there is only two spaces available!!! 
 I will be teaching traditional flatwork (what people now call bead embroidery) on June 9, 2012 in Newport, OR. Nye Cottage Beads is located in the historic district of Nye Beach. A fun place with great shops, fabulous places to eat, and Nye Cottage Beads.

So if you are coming to Newport, OR. or live close by call Nye Beads and speak to any of the terrific staff t and sign up for the class.

If you ever wanted to know how to create with flatwork this is the class you want to take.

I will be instructing on some of the techniques in my FlatWork book, history of seed beads, how to use Nicole's BeadBacking, and some tricks of the trade you may not know.

DRAGON N SKULL NECKLACE

Hi Everyone!

Today was actually a pretty good day. The sun came out in the afternoon and that always make me feel alive. I did get this necklace finished this morning. Another of Sandy Spivey's wonderful cabs. So why so many skulls and dragons and well skulls? First if you know me at all, you know I have a full collection of skulls and dragons and I just can't get enough of them. Now that they are so popular I can find them every where to buy. In the years past only certain shops carried such macabre nic naks. Hee hee hee.

Second, I have a show coming up June 15, 16, 17 in Reedsport, OR. at the Mind Power Art Gallery and one section is going to be all skulls and dragons and crystals and mystical items.

So here is the next piece to add to the Gallery show. Hope you like it.

I am so busy everyday of this week that I am praying, hoping that my body will not give me any trouble. LOL

LOOM BEADING N MORE

Hi Everyone!

Wow! the 3rd of June already?  I do believe I am over this flare of lupus, anyway I am up and around. I have received some very nice emails and hearing from all of you make my days. Any of you out there with lupus or other auto immune know that one minute you can be feeling fine and then next like the sky fell in on you. That is how my week has been. uuuhhhggggg.

I did do some business with a wonderful lady named Annette, who was having trouble with the beading loom she bought ( not from me) during our emails she did purchase one of our 1 foot looms and in one day she did this. She also wrote this.

"I got it this afternoon and love it. It was so easy to warp no tension problems like my eBay loom.

Thanks for you help this week and shipping it so fast. The book really helped to, I didn't realize

I should double the threads when looming the beads and it should be a B thread not D.

This is my progress so far on my flying geese pattern.

Thanks for the needle, beeswax and pretty beads too. Well back to beading.

The problem she was having was warping the other loom she owned. With our looms it is so easy and Annette proves it.

Here is the finished piece. This just makes my day that our looms help people with creating!

I started beading last fall when my friend had a small class at her home for free she even gave us the supplies. I was immediately hooked and haven't stopped beading from there. Loom beading I learned from mostly utube although it didn't give me all the details like your book. I learned from your book than all the hours of watching u tube. Before that I mostly crocheted, knitted and spun my own yarn. Now with my love for beads I have a while new stash in my tiny apartment. My hubby is very understanding though and loves to watch me create.
