PAINT PARTY FRIDAY

Hi Everyone!
It has been a week with the Pacific coast storm still in full force. Although the wind did die down a bit last night, we will see what the weekend has to offer. Today for Paint Party Friday I have created another of my series of leather sculpture faces. This is entitled, "Cat Lady".  Painted on a 12 x12 box canvas with acrylics, air brush, pods and seeds, cat claws, leather, porcupine guard hair and two white heart seedbeads.
So I hope you enjoy this piece and be sure to stop over at Eva and Krisin's blog to see all of the art for

Now before anyone freaks out about the cat claws, I would like to remind you that my Native background teaches to use all things with respect and to honor the animal or nature. That includes the animal that gave the leather too.

  4. Absolutely beautiful work, Nicole. The colors are gorgeous. I hope the cat was deceased before its claw got used (or else I hope he got declawed at the vet's.)
