BRACELET MODE

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
If you like this bracelet and want to know how to make it then sign up for my Beadwright Newsletter and stay signed up to receive a free beading pattern every month. I only offer these to my Beadwright Newsletter subscriber's.

Hi Everyone!
It is pouring rain here in Florence. Like..... what else is new with the weather in Florence?? LOL
So on a day like this other than baking cookies, which I certainly don't need, I created another bracelet. When I was finished I hooked onto my pewter lamp. I think it has found a home there. I had to use a flash today because of all the dark gray iciness outside. The true colors of this bracelet have much more chocolate and shades of dark sand in it. Especially in the dagger beads.

I am off to bake those cookies. :)

EARRINGS FROM THE ART EXCHANGE

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good time with the One World One Heart Magic carpet ride. I sure have met some nice people and very good artists who are participating. I am also partaking in the Art Exchange. I am so happy with the wonderful gifts I have received. Here are two more. Both of these ladies live in Alaska. A state that I have roots in and still have family there. So this is especially nice. First how cute are these mice earrings. The glass was made by Elise Strauss and I believe the Sterling ear wires. You can see more of Elise's work at Koi Creek Beadworks. The other pair of earrings again are beautifully made by Terri Atwell. Sorry I do not have a website for Terri, however when I looked up her name and business name, Beadwitched, I found that she has work in the Anchorage Museum of Art. Thanks to both of these wonderful artists for bringing some sunshine into my life.

Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I received a second art exchange gift. I am so impressed with these note cards. Diane Silveria was the sender of these lovely bleached photo note cards. You can visit her blog at dianesmixedart.blogspot.com Now bleaching photos has been around a long time, however, Diane has a special knack with this art. Here are a few of the cards she gifted to me.

Thanks Diane

Art Exchange Gift

Hi Everyone!
A week or so ago. I received an email from my good friend Kelly Angelley. She invited me to join in on an Art Exchange. I was so happy to be apart of this. I sent my email with Kelly's name in the #1 position and mine in the #2 position to 6 people. Then they moved my name up to the #1 spot and added their name and send it off to 6 people. So when you receive the email you send a gift to the person at the top of the list. OK so maybe my explanation is a bit confusing. However, the email explained it perfectly. This week I received my first gift. WOW!!! I am so pleased and impressed with the quality of work that this artist put into my piece. Nena Heitz from Grants Pass, OR sent me a necklace/ earring set that I am proud to wear. You can see some of Nena's jewelry in her etsy store at BandBGems. Her work is beautiful and as stated above the quality of workwomanship is some of the best I have seen. Stop by and take a look at Nena's beautiful pieces.

Thank you Nena for your lovely gift.

SWAROVSKIS HOTFIX

Hi Everyone,

The last few weeks I have been doing the "S" word. Ha ha you know sewing! Although I use to make all my own clothes, I have not done that in many many many years. I use my sewing machine for multi media art work, purses and bags, and dolls. Almost everything has beads incorporated in or on them somewhere. The other day I needed a cell phone case, you know, one that could go with me any where and be easily found in my purse. It also had to have a bit of pizazz. So this is what I came up with. Hand made felt, and Swarovski Hotfix crystals. I am happy with it and all I have to do is slide my hand into my purse and feel for the felt to find my cell phone. So how did I get the Swarovskis onto the felt? My trusty BeJeweler. Simply twist in the appropriate size head and plug it in. I set my crystals in place then glue them on with the BeJeweler. It is so easy, fun, and fast. Where do you get a BeJeweler? ArtBeads.com of course. They also have a very wide selection of color and sizes of the Swarovski Hotfix crystals.

Now for the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC)
I am a reviewer of products for Artbeads.com. I received the BeJeweler and the the Swarovski Hotfix crystals above free of charge. I have used and reviewed these products and my statements are an honest description. I receive no compensation from Artbeads.com for my endorsement as it pertains to the products above.

JUST FOR LAUGHS

Hi Everyone!

At the "celebration of life" party we held for my sister I was NOT at all amazed at how many people showed up. It was a great time with family and friends. This young man is 16. My Sis would love this photo.

UPDATE; many of you have emailed asking just how tall this fellow is. His parents told me 7'9" yes I said 7 feet 9 inches. Both parents are well over 6'5" and his sister, who is younger, is well over 6 feet. I am 5'2" if I stand very tall.

GOING TO BANDON

Hello Everyone!

Wednesday Mike gathered our things and put me in the car to take a drive. I did need to get out of the house. The days was wet, cold, windy, and of course dark here on the Oregon coast. We drove over to Bandon. (I did need to talk to one of my gallery shops anyway.) The day there was a bit sunny and not so gloomy as Florence is. We had a nice day and thought I would share some shots with you. No not Tequila LoL!!!

Enjoy

I AM IN A SEWING MOOD

Hi Everyone!
The weather is just a windy, rainy, dark, mess here in Florence. Oh, I forgot, it is mostly this way here in Florence. LOL It is winter and I guess I shouldn't complain, it could be snowing. Uhhggg.

This last week I have pulled out my sewing machine and all sewing goodies that go with it. Now I do not have a sewing room so this is a huge ordeal. Thank goodness for unused dinning rooms!
I am re-filling my stores with my hand crafted bags. Here is a new one that I thought I would share with you.
I don't have time to make my own felt anymore, I purchase it from a local merchant. I am going there today and will take photos of her store for you.

I AM BACK

Hi Everyone!

First, thank you all so very much for the continuous support. I am getting back into the normalcy of my life, with a few changes. First off I know my sister would kick my butt if I sat around crying all day. So yesterday I started creating again. For those of you who don't know I have a line of hand bags that I sell. I have had those on the back burner lately and so I decided to work on those. The hum of my sewing machine, some good ol' blues music, my dog at my side, I feel ok. My heart is at peace and I know that comes, in part, from all of the blessings sent to me from all of you. Again thank you.

This is a great photo of me n my sis.

I AM HOME

Hi Everyone!

I am home but not quite myself yet. Loosing my sister has been more difficult than I can even express. I want to thank all of you who have sent wonderful and loving letters. My email is full as well as my P. O. Box. When I walked into my house late last night there were flowers sent by many of you. Thank you so very much!! With all of the love and friendship I have received from you I will mend much faster.
My sister and I spoke on the phone everyday. And everyday we said, "I love you" I have that to hold onto. So if you have not told your family or your close friends how you feel about them do it today. Do it everyday.

My love to all of you
Nicole
